Student Code of Conduct & Academy Policies

At L&H Healthcare Academy, our goal is to create a respectful, professional, and faith-centered learning environment where students can grow academically, personally, and spiritually. All students are expected to uphold the highest standards of conduct, integrity, and compassion — both in and outside the classroom.

1. Professional Conduct

  • Students must demonstrate respect toward instructors, staff, classmates, and patients at all times.

  • Profanity, disrespect, discrimination, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.

  • Students are expected to adhere to Christian values, including honesty, kindness, and compassion.

  • Professional language and behavior are required in all academic, clinical, and online interactions.

2. Attendance and Punctuality

  • Regular attendance is mandatory for all classes and clinical sessions.

  • Students must arrive on time and remain for the entire duration of class or clinical.

  • Absences must be reported to the instructor or program coordinator prior to class.

  • Excessive absences or tardiness may result in dismissal from the program or delayed certification eligibility.

3. Dress Code and Appearance

  • Students must wear the approved school uniform during class and clinical sessions.

  • Scrubs must be clean and pressed; closed-toe shoes are required.

  • Hair should be neat and secured, and nails kept short and clean (no acrylics for clinicals).

  • Jewelry should be minimal and not interfere with safety or professionalism.

4. Academic Integrity

  • All assignments, exams, and evaluations must represent the student’s own work.

  • Cheating, falsifying records, or plagiarism will result in disciplinary action and possible dismissal.

  • Students are expected to maintain confidentiality regarding patient information and clinical experiences.

5. Classroom and Clinical Behavior

  • Cell phones must be silenced and put away during class and clinicals unless used for learning purposes.

  • Students must follow all instructor directions and facility rules at clinical sites.

  • Respectful communication is expected at all times — interruptions, side conversations, or arguments are prohibited.

  • Students must demonstrate safety awareness and report any incidents or concerns immediately.

6. Faith-Based Environment

  • L&H Healthcare Academy incorporates Faith based values and encouragement into its learning environment.

  • While participation in prayer or devotionals is voluntary, all students are expected to show respect for the faith-based culture of the academy.

  • We believe every student is called with purpose, and we encourage reflection, service, and compassion in all that we do.

7. Tuition and Fees

  • Tuition and all fees must be paid in full before starting any course.

  • All payments are final, if you are not able to attend your purchased course. A one-time courtesy is provided to sign up for a later class start date.

  • Students with unpaid balances may not participate in clinicals or attend class. All tuition has to be paid in full before your start date.

  • Tuition Assistance can be granted when grant funds are available

8. Substance Use Policy

  • The use or possession of drugs, alcohol, or tobacco on academy grounds or clinical sites is strictly prohibited.

  • Any student under the influence of substances will be immediately dismissed from the program.

9. Disciplinary Actions

Failure to comply with the Code of Conduct or policies may result in one or more of the following:

  • Verbal or written warning

  • Suspension from class or clinicals

  • Probationary period with conditions

  • Dismissal from the academy (without refund)

10. Student Acknowledgment

All students must sign an acknowledgment form at enrollment stating they have read, understood, and agree to abide by the L&H Healthcare Christian Academy Code of Conduct & Policies.
